South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries have been awarded Petronas’s Bardegg-2 & Baronia project. The scope of work includes fabrication of a 30,000 tonne central processing platform, which includes 14,000 ton topsides for the Baronia field. Hyundai are likely to fabricate the topsides in Korea with the 8 legged jacket being fabricated by a Malaysian yard, most likely MMHE. Other bidders were Technip with MMHE, COOEC with Petrofac, Sapurakencana with Saipem and McDermott.
