The internal pipe blasters are available for pipes of 2″ up to 120″ and, in a special execution, for pipes down to ½”. Operation either by compressed air (for all diameters) or mechanical driven turbine (not for the smallest diameters).
Compressed air blasting system can handle up to 6 pipes simultaneously. The mechanical turbine blaster comes with easily exchangeable blast booms for the different range of diameters and extra high capacities. All blasting stations are fitted with pipe front-end and rear-end enclosure cabins, abrasive reclaim system, dust separation, internal pipe support for the blast boom(s) and drive cars to insert the boom into the pipe vice versa.
Internal anti corrosion / flow-efficiency lining
Selmers is an authority in internal blasting and lining plants and can advise you in selecting the appropriate equipment set-up, capacity and type of coatings, with flexibility to adapt and/or extend future requirements.
The blasting and lining is carried out with booms that move inside the pipe while performing the blasting or lining job. Selmers offers a selection of blasting and lining booms. The abrasive blasting booms are available in executions with small size, normal size and large size turbines. The lining booms are available with internal boom tip supports and in versions which do not touch the pipe.
The design of Selmers’ lining plants is very flexible in set-up and allows for a variety of equipment configurations, depending on the type of operation, lining specifications, ambient temperatures and available space. As in the internal lining process (in comparison to the external coating process), each pipe is processed separately, special attention must be given to efficient pipe handling and positioning of pipe enclosure cabins.
This is realized by integrating or making available a high degree of automation as well as by making use of pipe handling devices such as transport cars, pipe push conveyors, walking beams, etc.
In addition to the core equipment (blasting and lining) the following stations can be added to the plant:
- internal wash
- pipe-end tape masking / de-masking
- paint curing ovens (for cold areas and/or high production plants)
- holiday detection stations
